Worship opportunities
Altar Guild
Set the altar for Sunday Communion, as well as for any special services like Funerals, Weddings, or Baptisms. The time commitment is once a month for set up on Saturday and clean up after the service on Sunday. The training for Altar Guild is a full year as a trainee.

Serve and assist the congregation during any Worship Service, prepare the Nave for worship, take up the offering, and usher congregants during Communion. Members are expected to be humble, courteous, helpful, observant, and friendly – especially watching for visitors.

Read lectionary readings (Bible) for Sunday services and Prayers of the People. We ask for you to read as you are able, but no more than once every 6 weeks. Training will be provided.

Help serve communion. Must be a confirmed member to serve in this ministry. Serve on a schedule according to availability, and full training is given and robes are provided.

Sings weekly at the 9 am service and for special holidays. Music-reading is not essential, but will greatly help. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings, 7 - 9 pm. 8:15 am Warm-up on Sunday mornings.

Our goal is to make disciples through music. Not by flashy performances, but by giving God's people songs to sing that sink deep into their hearts
and minds. Rehearsals on Thursday evenings, serve at 11:00 am service.
Baristas
Serve approximately 6-9 times per year during our Community Coffee time (responsible for set up & clean up). All supplies are provided by the church.

Camp DIT (Disciples in Training) is our Children's program offered on Sundays at both 9am and 11am. We serve Acorns (ages 0-3), Sprouts (ages 4-5 ), K-3rd grade, Crew 45 (4th and 5th graders). Monthly programming for 4th and 5th graders, special events at holidays, Vacation Bible School, childcare for various programs, and other events during the year.

For students grades 6-12. Meets from 12:30-2:30 on Sundays. Lunch is provided. We seek to equip students to follow Jesus faithfully as they go through adolescence and transition into adulthood.

Fix it ministry
Completes minor repairs or services for those that may not be able to do themselves, or afford to pay someone to do. The more varied the skill level of our volunteers, the more services we can offer.

Provide meals for those recovering from surgery, experiencing a birth or death in the family. Volunteers only need to sign up
when their schedule allows. The more volunteers we have, the more meals we can provide!
Prayer Ministry
Encourage and engage the body of Christ to bring the power and importance of prayer into all areas of the church ministry.

Men's ministry
Every 3rd Saturday of the month, there is a Men's Breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m. in the large classroom. Annual Men’s Retreat (May).

GriefShare
This is a 13 week program for those who have lost a loved one to death - regardless
of when the loss occurred.
Single Women's Ministry
Open to ALL single adult
women of the church. Meets monthly in homes for casual fellowship.
FISH (Friendship / International Student Hospitality)
FISH is a new missions endeavor to provide opportunities to extend friendship and to practice hospitality among international students in, or visiting, Charlotte.
